Overview of Sun Yat-sen University Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen and with an educational tradition spanning over 100 years, is a preeminent research, academic and cultural center and the premier location for talent development in South China. The program serves as a widely recognized global gathering for international students, regular SYSU students, and professors. The program links Chinese language, politics and cultural studies, and business management, especially in relation to the Pearl River Delta and South China regions, where SYSU is located. The program covers a wide range of topics, reflecting both the past 10 years of economic achievements and recent challenges to both the region and the country. In addition to classroom instruction, local company visits and cultural excursions are also offered in the program. Being part of this program means meeting new people, approaching new cultures, and tapping into new resources.
