Shanghai Livingston American School is an international, college preparatory school with 600+ students from Nursery to Grade 12; with a majority of teachers certified and highly qualified from the U.S. SLAS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. SLAS uses Common Core aligned California curriculum in its classrooms. Given the school's small student body and its attractive student-to-teacher ratio, each student is offered an opportunity for a well-planned and customized study program.

学校描述
本校是一所提供2岁至18岁学生的教育场所，我们的课程安排是完全依照由小学教育开始到初中高中的国际标准课程。我校吸引了众多居住于上海的国际学生就读，学生因而有机会接触各种不同的世界文化。
本校自从于 2001 年由美国议员 Robert Livingston (罗伯特•李文斯顿) 先生创立以来，我校教职员工与学生、家长之间所建立起的合作精神已完全深植我校文化。学校以及学生家庭之间的联系是非常重要的，因为一个学生的进步与成长是靠着学生本人、学校、和家长之间共同努力出来的结果，因此，我校定期进行考试、寄送学生成绩给家长，在家长会、学生代表会、父母老师学生组织 (PTSA) 会议等场合，我们有很多机会可检视、讨论学生的学习状况。本校的教学内容虽然非常严格、具挑战性，但也提供给学生最大的支援与协助。本校旨在发展学生主动寻求答案的精神并鼓励学生勇于创新。 本校每个班平均有18位学生，每位学生皆可受到老师更多的关注而能发挥其更大的潜能。严谨的学术课程以及生动有趣、实际动手做、与日常生活贴切的学习活动，是我校的教学宗旨。我们的教育目标在于提供学生必要的知识技能以让他们不仅仅能生存，还能在这个快速变化的环境中表现卓越。我们鼓励每一个学生将其潜能完全发挥出来、主动积极进取，为他们日后的大学教育及未来生涯打好基础。
