学校描述
杭州国际学校（Hangzhou International School）是浙江省第一所专门招收外籍及港澳台籍人士子女的学校。学校位于杭州市滨江区钱塘江畔，与杭州六和塔隔岸相望，由杭州教育局及杭州第二中学提供校园校舍，由美国国际学校发展联合会(ISDA)举办和管理。杭州国际学校是它在世界上开办的第七所国际学校。
学校位于杭州国家高新技术产业开发区内，依托名校杭州二中，占地面积35亩，建筑面积1万余平方米，最大招生规模约500人。学校实施从幼儿园到高中的15年基础教育，实施美国教育部认可的美式课程标准。今年首批学生约有25名，他们的父母都是在杭工作外籍人士，来自美国、英国、印度等不同国家。
国际学校师资力量浓厚，校长由美国人陆大克担任。陆校长大学时主修教育和历史，硕士学位，在美国一所学校任教5年，任校长3年。国际学校的其他6名教师分别来自美国、英国、新西兰、印度尼西亚，绝大多数是硕士生，有8年以上的工作经验。
